Our Team:

The Workplace Operations Engineering team is engaged in planning and coordinating software development and technology enhancements to internal products and services used globally across the organization. We align our work to the strategic objectives of the business, while simultaneously collaborating with stakeholders and other engineering teams. We support a large technology portfolio that facilitates employee operations and efficiency on the Bloomberg Terminal and Mobile Professional platforms. Our focus is to improve the productivity of all employees while providing a seamless experience to Bloomberg clients, vendors, and visitors.

The Role:

We are looking for a Product Owner who will help to drive the enhancement strategy for the software and technology offerings in our Facilities and Employee Operations product portfolio! An individual who is a self-starter with an ambitious spirit and can bring clear direction to drive a strategic roadmap, challenge the status quo, seek to make things better and more efficient, build transparency, make bold decisions, and hold both yourself and the team accountable for meaningful goals. You also think beyond specific tasks, understand the end goal and vision for the team’s products and services, and ask the right questions to drive value for the business.

We Will Trust You To:

• Build product roadmaps that align with the strategic vision of the business and the technical initiatives led and identified by Engineering.
• Serve as liaison between senior business leaders and technical teams
• Establish strong working relationships to influence and facilitate collaboration across departmental boundaries
• Collaborate to create compelling product visions that are executable
• Link what we do to why we do it, our “North Star”
• Curate a product backlog of “enabling items” that will deliver the business value, do the right thing at the right time
• Drive stakeholder engagement, working very closely with department and product leads to document and prioritize business needs, requirements and opportunities and articulate that into the vision and strategy of the products in the portfolio
• Collaborate with the Scrum Lead and the technical team to implement the principles of Agile as they collectively execute on the vision
• Serve as a subject matter expert in products supported by the team, maintain product help pages and plan product releases

We Would Like to See:

• Proven product ownership/management experience
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• The ability to articulate ideas and garner support for initiatives
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience* in technical product development, with prior software development experience
• Demonstrated success at communicating, prioritizing, and balancing needs cross-functionally
• Experience working with Jira
• Ability to build strong relationships across functions within an organization
• Prior experience working with Engineering teams
