The Operational Services Team in the Support & Revenue Directorate has responsibility for the largest number of products and platforms which underpin the Trust’s ability to grow in a sustainable way. As a Product Owner for Car Parks, you will be responsible for the deployment of changes to our car parking services and making engaging with them as effortless as possible for our supporters, staff and volunteers.
You will be responsible for collating and owning the business requirements across our operations, regions and head office and working with the relevant project and delivery teams to ensure the strategic objectives and requirements are translated into roadmaps that realise business benefits.
Car parks deliver more than £8m per annum to funding our conservation work, so not only is it a significant part of our business, it also has a direct impact on our ability to look after special places.
This role is offered on a fixed term contract / secondment basis until end January 2025.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meet with stakeholders and to carry out work.
It’s an exciting time to join the team as we’re about to make significant investment in our visitor facing technology so you’ll be playing a critical role in making sure we design and implement new solutions successfully.
You’ll help shape the future direction and ways of working of our car parking services, collaborating with a range of stakeholders internally and externally to understand and anticipate the needs of the Trust. You will drive supporter value by owning the vision and leading delivery of the roadmap of change.
You’ll assist in translating business needs into stories, you’ll own the backlog and the delivery roadmap continuously driving for improvement by working collaboratively with a range of teams through IT and across business users. You’ll ensure the necessary business processes are followed.
You’ll work collaboratively with IT colleagues and use your knowledge of how our systems are integrated to ensure the feasibility of strategy deployment, understanding how change needs to be managed fully end to end.
You’ll represent our supporters and users and focus on how we deliver value to them through our products and services, making sure delivery teams are focused on outcomes and value. You’ll think big picture but deliver on the detail.

• A skilled communicator, great at interpreting information quickly and concisely. You are good at explaining technical terms in easy-to-understand language and have credibility and strong influencing skills
• Excellent at translating business objectives into a data roadmap and with credibility and strong influencing skills
• An expert in the market and external landscape of the products that you own, understanding best practice to bring benefit to your users
• Solutions focussed and able to make decisions balancing effort and benefit to prioritise effectively
• Comfortable working in a complex organisation, turning incomplete, ambiguous inputs into solid action plans
• Experienced in the management and delivery of complex, multi-stream projects, with experience of back office/digital solution and business change projects
