During this time, our product suite has grown and now includes seven workforce management modules to meet the business needs. Capita WFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capita Plc.
As the Product Manager for WFM, you will be responsible for driving the product definition, sales plan and associated customer strategy including channel strategy and resourcing.
The WFM Product Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the development strategy and product to achieve our OKRs. They should consider new features that will sustain a competitive advantage in the marketplace, influence our development capability, launch with Sales and drive adoption through our Customer Success team.
The WFM Product Manager will define a roadmap for the product and must consider the evolution and journey of the product sets currently within the portfolio, aligned to the market and customer driven decisions.
The role of the Product Manager is to shape the portfolio and manage the lifecycle of the products, either through Capita’s capability in house, or through leveraging the partner ecosystem to respond to emerging technologies.
Relationship Management:
- Being visible within business domain, ensuring we are doing the right thing for our clients and working in partnership with our delivery teams
- Be the ‘Go To Person’ for advice and guidance on our product.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships across WFM to ensure the Product is aligned and integrated with the wider business and its processes
- Sustain productive relationships with customers inside and outside Capita.

- Demonstrable knowledge across the WFM Portfolio covering workforce management and SaaS Architectures

- Confident and personable with strong inter-personal skills, able to communicate effectively and compellingly at all levels of an organisation, through a variety of different methods (including verbal, written and presentation)

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for defining the WFM product portfolio and managing the lifecycle for the product portfolio
- Leveraging the teams in Sales & Marketing to support market engagement to drive profitable growth to the business
- Aligned to a common product methodology to drive repeatable consistent product approach.
- Provide leadership and direction around the technology, take responsibility for the Product roadmap, introducing and new technologies to drive a competitive advantage.
- Manage Major investments made with WFM platforms and partnerships, to drive the evolution and future direction.
- Innovation – drive innovation in our approach to customer needs, working with the presales function to evangelise the technology in the proposals.
- Attend industry events and conferences, acting as a spokesperson for WFM at sales events and conferences.
Key Skills
- Workforce Management (WFM) domain knowledge or experience
- Strong understanding of the WFM market, along with a view of developments towards cloud and digital. Good understanding of technology trends and how they affect Capita and our customers
- Demonstrable skills in understanding the needs of organisations and designing and delivering compelling solutions to address them
- Proven and demonstrable product experience, in a similar organisation
- Able to work autonomously aligned with broad direction
- Outcome driven against targets, strong focus on execution, “getting things doneâ€
- Able to manage competing priorities for own and team’s work activities to deliver against agreed priorities and deadlines, escalating if required
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
