The product manager's role is to work closely with their stakeholders and the rest of the product team (usually members of the Finance Business Partnering & Digital Technology organisations) to understand the needs of our users and translate them into value for the company and a prioritised backlog for the product team to deliver against. Key focus areas:
Developing an aspirational vision and strategy for your digital product, in collaboration with the product team and key stakeholders, bringing them on this journey with you
Building an autonomous product team, promoting a continuous delivery culture focused on user outcomes and business value with measurable key results
Bridging planning, budgeting and forecasting experiences with the digital organization, finance & other stakeholders, having a special focus on integrated business planning (cross-functional integration) across the difference planning cycles – strategic planning, annual planning and periodic forecasting. Managing the cross-functional team on a day-to-day basis and providing insight, support, context and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required
Leading product discovery with the team, researchers and wider stakeholders to develop, experiment and tests new ideas with users that help shape the value proposition
Taking ownership of the product roadmap, backlog and requirement definition, and supporting the team across all key agile events
Articulating and sharing key learnings and achievements within the organisation as and when appropriate
Identifying and escalating dependencies proactively and coordinating with other Product Teams to resolve impediments as and when required
Providing feedback to the team in a way that is both positive and meaningful to their growth and personal development
As part of our digital journey, we are ramping up our product management focus, moving from a primarily “waterfall†approach to digital (agile) development. In the CFO Organisation, we are responsible for several digital products, each having a product manager.
This role is focused on the digital product responsible for delivering value across our enterprise planning processes across all functions including the business, finance partners, digital organization, corporate FP&A and other digital transformation stakeholders (finance and non-finance).
The role will report to Senior Director, Global BI and Planning Performance. Global BI and Planning Performance is part of the CFO Organisation, reporting to the CFO.
