As a Product manager – Technical, you be responsible for visioning, scoping, and building data based technology products from the ground up that support lab diagnostics, bio informatics and supply chain. To be successful, you will need to understand the needs of and create solutions for multiple customers, including lab professionals, supply chain teams, clinicians and, patients. This role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with other product managers, engineers, lab management, legal, operators, and executives. Your solutions will require an understanding of multiple disciplines, including healthcare, last-mile operations, and supply chain operations.
Some of the key job functions are:
· Create the vision and roadmap with tools and systems that make our vision possible
· Write requirements and specifications to meet business needs and drive supply chain improvements from ideation to release
· Perform supporting research and analysis for your products by gathering data, diving deep into and customer experiences, and prototyping solutions
· Work cross-functionally with engineering, business intelligence, operations, and other product managers both in our organization and across Amazon to find the best solutions
· Manage communication of product feature/release timelines to key stakeholders
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, MIS, or a related field
· Experience as a product manager with experience in developing, defining, managing, and executing new products in a fast-paced environment
· Data science and ML working experience
· Knowledge of AWS big data platforms, or similar technology, preferred.
· Healthcare and diagnostics domain knowledge highly desired
· Experience defining customer requirements in big data, data analytics or related technologies
· MBA or Master’s degree.
· High tech industry experience, big data and ML industry experience highly desired.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back-up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing stakeholders and executives
· Experience in scaling new businesses
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
