We are hiring a product manager which is a newly created director specialist role to support the digital transformation via product management of the tax & customs processes across the LEGO Group.
The product manager's role is to work closely with their stakeholders and the rest of the product team (usually members of the Digital Technology organisation) to understand the needs of our users and translate them into value for the company and a prioritised backlog for the product team to deliver against. Key focus areas:
• Developing an aspirational vision and strategy for your digital product, in collaboration with the product team and key stakeholders, bringing them on this journey with you
• Building an autonomous product team, promoting a continuous delivery culture focused on user outcomes and business value with measurable key results
• Bridging tax & customs experiences with the digital organization, finance & other stakeholders, having a special focus on VAT controls, tax control framework & export controls, and acting as a subject matter expert for the product team, providing insight, support, context, and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required
• Leading product discovery with the team, researchers, and wider stakeholders to develop, experiment and test new ideas with users that help shape the value proposition
• Taking ownership of the product roadmap, backlog, and requirement definition, and supporting the team across all key agile events
• Articulating and sharing key learnings and achievements within the organisation as and when appropriate
• Identifying and escalating dependencies proactively and coordinating with other Product Teams to resolve impediments as and when required
• Providing feedback to the team in a way that is both positive and meaningful to their growth and personal development
As part of our digital journey, we are ramping up our product management focus, moving from a primarily “waterfall†approach to digital development. In the CFO Organisation, we are responsible for several digital products, each having a product manager.
This role is focused on the digital product responsible for delivering value across our tax processes, linking tax expertise from all functions including our shared service centre, the Global Strategic Tax & Customs team, distribution finance partners, the digital organisation and other digital transformation stakeholders.
The newly created director specialist role will report to Vice President, Global Strategic Tax & Customs (GSTC) and be part of the GSTC LT. GSTC is part of the CFO Organisation and reports directly to the CFO.
• Experience in leading high performing, cross functional agile product-teams, with a passion for delivering value to users early and often, having fun whilst doing it, and looking after your team
• Experience in launching and maintaining products that have successfully solved problems for users, with a strong focus on value, delivering against the objectives and key results of the organisation and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) optimisation
• Able to balance big vision and detail
• Curious, data-driven, and passionate about solving user needs
• Strong communication skills and empathy, building effective relationships with stakeholders quickly
• Insights into Customs & VAT and have worked with tax control framework
• Experience with SAP, preferably SAP GTS (Global Trade Services)
