We are seeking a driven and dynamic thought-leader to help drive business results and inform decisions for a suite of critical products through timely and actionable data-driven insights. 

 The Product Manager will support several critical products and offerings in the Cox residential products portfolio:

 Pre-paid Internet (StraightUp Internet) – a key component of our growth strategy which offers flexible payment options to customers and is sold in partnership with Boost Mobile Stores throughout our footprint

Internet Data Usage – Suite of customer-facing tools and offerings (e.g., Unlimited plans) for managing household Internet data usage

Cox Complete Care – a premium offering providing advanced tech support and troubleshooting for any connected device in customer’s homes

Digital Equity Programs – Cox is committed to driving digital equity in the communities we serve and ensuring everyone has access to the internet – regardless of income – through both Cox-sponsored and government-sponsored programs

Accessibility – Cox’s Accessibility Center of Excellence ensures all products and services are developed with Accessibility in mind to ensure an equitable, accessible experience for customers of all abilities

This individual will possess strong business acumen and will mine, interpret and translate data from multiple sources to concisely explain the “why” behind trends and illuminate recommendations, solutions, and opportunities. They will also be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and presenting of key financial, operational and business metrics.

 Key Responsibilities

 Translate data, trends and analytical findings in order to inform and make business recommendations.  

Proactively assess and monitor the end-to-end customer experience, reliability, and health of products/offering under manager’s purview.

Development, publishing and ongoing evolution of key business, financial and operational performance metrics.

Leads the creation of reports, charts and dashboards – often in partnership with Product and Marketing Analytics teams.

Proactively mine and investigate available data, metrics and analytics from various sources to unearth insights and make actionable, strategic recommendations. 

Leverage insights to recommend ways to continually improve our monitoring, tools and processes.

Identifying business needs by defining, analyzing and documenting requirements for ongoing and ad-hoc requests.

Is a recognized leader and authority in the organization for customer data and experience for the products under manager’s purview

Reviews and presents results and insights with various sizes and levels of internal audiences by presenting cohesive, concise, and clear stories.  Excellent PowerPoint and visual story-telling skills a must.

Requirements

Proven data analysis, business intelligence and analytics skills that lead to actionable insights 

Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills. Proven ability to make connections across data and analytics coming from quantitative and qualitative sources to glean key insights that help drive business decisions.  

Proficient in leveraging data and insights to contribute to root-cause analysis for incidents, issues and operational improvement opportunities.

Excellent communication skills, with prior experience developing and delivering effective communications via PowerPoint, email and verbally.

Demonstrated ability to simplify complex ideas, data and insights to communicate a story and vision clearly and concisely to executive audiences. 

Experience contributing to business cases and financial analyses by determining and validating key assumptions

Must have a high sense of urgency and tenacity to achieve goals, with experience taking an idea and running with it.

Highly self-motivated and results-oriented: can work and operate with latitude using his/her independent judgment, within operational parameters.  Takes responsibility and has a sense of urgency and tenacity.

Proven experience driving the creation of reporting and analytics solutions (often in partnership with Product, Marketing and/or Technology Analytics teams)

Strong financial and business acumen with an understanding of key drivers that impact the company’s bottom line

 Qualifications:

Minimum 

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of experience in related business or consulting role(s)

Solid analytical thinker with experience driving reporting, analytics, and insights projects.

Solid business and financial acumen with experience assessing and contributing to business cases

Ability to concisely and effectively communicate with partners at all levels of the organization via written and verbal communications, as well as PowerPoint.

Ability to visualize data in manner that makes key trends and insights easily and quickly digestible

Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills; additionally, some basic SQL skills preferred 

Demonstrated ability to perform within a fast-paced matrix management environment with quickly evolving priorities.

Comfortable working through ambiguity and sometimes operating within conflicting priorities.  

Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.

 

Preferred 

Previous Telecommunications experience strongly preferred

Experience with SQL, data analysis, analytics and data visualization preferred

Ability to apply basic statistical principles (sample size, deviation, percentiles, distributions, etc) to evaluate results and gain insights
