Product Managers are responsible for the development and execution of product line strategies that bring value to the marketplace. They function as experts in their product lines for the organization. Product managers are responsible for product portfolio management, pricing strategy, marketing activities and project management. They are accountable for growing their product line offering, and achieving sales, margin, and market share goals.

Sales: $25 - 30 million

Leadership: Manage cross functional teams to accomplish common goals
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute product line / customer strategies that will drive the Sales and Marketing effort for the assigned product line
• Develop product/customer road maps and operating plans
• Execute product line initiatives to achieve objectives
• Measure effectiveness of initiatives to provide on-going research and analysis
• Develop and demonstrate proficiency in systems available to measure results
• Ability to proactively address changing conditions
• Report findings to other CVA departments
• Plan product line activities
• Participate in AOP process as required
• Develop and implement annual pricing strategies for each product to meet pricing targets while insuring market competitiveness
• Work with Supply Chain / Operations team to ensure lead time commitments
• Provide regular analysis of each product lines' performance
• Measure effectiveness of product line strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
• Maintain customer contact to facilitate flow of market intelligence
• Manages product line content depth and breadth
• Cross functional communication of product and marketing initiatives
• Follow and lead team of functional representatives through projects
• Work across the Marketing department on various initiatives
• Utilize industry contacts to assist with the elimination of excess and surplus inventories
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
• 8 or more years of experience required with extensive responsibilities for marketing / program / project management and a demonstrated track record of success
• Strongly prefer experience in the markets, products, and customers of the Aftermarket Division
• Proven business skills and interpersonal communication / influencing skills required
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Power Point and Excel
• The CVA organization has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had one or more years’ experience in the position or similar position
