The New Growth & Development organization is focused on identifying and analyzing areas of future growth and plans to achieve sustained and balance growth across the enterprise. The organization works to answer “what’s next” for Cox and our customers. We develop growth hypothesis and test those hypothesis through: 1) skunkworks 2) investing in new businesses 3) traditional R&D 4) identifying strategic partnerships and 5) exploring emerging businesses. Growth opportunities are currently being incubated across a variety of adjacent business and technology sectors including Healthcare, Commercial IOT, Energy, Edge Computing, etc.

 

The New Growth & Development group is now hiring a Product Manager for Cox Edge Services. Cox Edge Services is a new edge compute and data management service within Cox Communications. The Cox Edge Services team mission is to help businesses accelerate business and digital transformation by leveraging the benefits of edge computing.  

Cox Edge Services is a collection of low latency cloud infrastructure resources using our extensive infrastructure of edge facilities. Our edge data centers are located at the last mile of the network providing superior network speed to support developer and customer workloads across the ecosystem. 

 

About the Job

Cox Edge Services is looking for an adaptable and driven individual who can organize and drive product development and management and coordinate efforts across departments and stakeholders. As Product Manager, you will help drive the product roadmap, guiding principles, and strategic themes. You will ensure alignment on product direction and priorities with all stakeholders. This role is an on-the-ground contributor who ensures the Cox Edge Services team can continue to move fast, wow customers, and deliver great solutions at scale. The Product Manager reports to the Head of Product & Customer Success for Cox Edge Services.

 Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions  

Support product conceptualization and define the product roadmap for Cox Edge

Work with a customer centric lens to understand the capabilities Cox Edge offer developers.

Help define the right product strategy and solutions to tackle constraints and introduction of new edge capabilities.

Support product exploration and design, and partner with technology team to build and launch the products you define.

Conduct external assessments of industry and technology trends as well as market and competitive activities impacting the business.

Work with key partners to understand requirements and drive knowledge into action and insights from data.

Be a Product advocate; can describe the Product, its value, how it works, how it is adopted, speak to upcoming changes and tailor the information to the audience

Assist in customer adoption through personal interaction and written documentation

Identify, raise, and remove roadblocks, triage defects, and provide clarity from customers on issues where appropriate

Work directly with customers and team members to capture details of feature requirements, understand use cases, collect samples, and find tests; apply knowledge of Product and business drivers to enhance work

Conduct analysis to determine how features are performing, level of customer satisfaction, and provide innovative suggestions for improvements

Highlight risks, bring up impacts and assist in developing and analyzing possible innovative solutions for complex issues

Conduct Product demos

Work with Product Marketing Manager to develop typical product management deliverables including marketing requirements and product requirements.

Coordinate product and technology troubleshooting to provide the Customer Success Team with effective answers and solutions quickly.

Qualifications:

Minimum

5-7 years of proven Product and Analytics Management experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions and low-level technical discussions

Deep understanding of analytics, user research and business cases to drive decisions and improve products

Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Demonstrate strong technical and market knowledge

Experience with Public Cloud, Software as a service, Data Center or Network technology

Preferred

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

Experience managing and building enterprise technology products

Experience managing a product roadmap in an agile development environment
