The Microsoft Azureâ„¢ Compute team builds the core infrastructure and APIs that power the Microsoft Azure platform and handles the compute cluster management of 1000s of physical host servers, 100,000s of virtual machines, REST interfaces to deploy and manage virtual machines, and the developer and ITPro experiences for the following Azure products: Virtual Machines (VM), Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) and Cloud Services.    

We are looking for an experienced, exceptional Program Manager to set the vision and drive execution for enhancements to the software that supports the Azure Compute infrastructure. In this role you will design and manage software that enables highly trustworthy computing experiences in the Azure platform.

• Defines product vision and strategy, leveraging deep understanding of the customer experience and competitive market.   
• Building consensus on product strategy/vison across all functions and aligns with internal/external partners to achieve defined goals and vision for product/ service feature area(s)   
• Identifying short-and long-term investment opportunities, evaluating tradeoffs, and driving the product roadmap.   
• Defines the feature set and iterates with multiple designs with Design and Engineering.   
• Engaging customers to capture feedback, develop insights, evangelize, and educate  

• Works across all stages of product lifecycle from product definition, planning, release, modifications, maintenance, and feature deprecation.  

Qualifications

Qualifications  

• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Engineering. (Advanced technical degree or MBA a plus)  
• 3+ years of professional technical product management and/or software development experience (cloud experience is a plus)  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a strategic orientation.  

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with remote teams.  
• Strong aptitude for data driven decision-making.  
• Strong focus on delivering end to end customer value.  
• Demonstrated leadership and exceptional cross-team skills.
