The Adventus.io story started in 2018 when our founders connected over a shared frustration with how broken the international student recruitment market was.

They identified a fundamental problem in the international study market: There is no efficient, reliable way for institutions, recruiters, and students to find and transact with each other. We’re fixing that! 

About the team

The Product team is responsible for growing Adventus.io products for universities, students and recruitment agents. The team is accountable for the product strategy, development and execution across Adventus to deliver world class experiences for students considering studying in higher education while delivering undeniable value and experience for our partners.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced agile delivery manager who is comfortable setting up new teams and introducing new ways of working. You’ll provide day-to-day direction for two or three cross-functional teams, working closely all team members to deliver quality software that solves real-world problems, in a fun, hardworking agile start-up. Working alongside alongside a small team of delivery managers you’ll wear a bunch of hats across projects in product and tech, and be given opportunities to learn new things and follow your passions.

Key responsibilities of the role

• Provide day-to-day direction for two or three cross-functional software delivery teams

• Ensure that people in and around the teams you work with are aligned and working together to solve the highest value problems

• Estimate, share and report on delivery timelines

• Maintain an up-to-date view of capacity and demand

• Coordinate (but not necessarily facilitate) Scrum ceremonies

• Proactively identify and communicate issues and scope changes as they occur, providing input and guidance

• Facilitate communication between the business and the teams you work with, balancing focus with responsiveness and helpfulness

• Be involved in day-to-day delivery for the teams you work with, including stand-ups, removing blockers and regular 1:1s

• Facilitate good communication between team members and the wider company, demonstrating and encouraging Adventus’ values

• Work closely with tech leads and product managers to plan upcoming work and forecast delivery timelines

• Make complete, current and upcoming work visible to the business

• Work closely with the product team and suggest trade-offs when faced with competing priorities

• Proactively contribute to our culture of continuous improvement at all levels

About you

• You may have previously worked as a delivery manager, project manager, scrum master, program manager or product manager with a delivery focus

• You are fluent in project delivery software (ideally Jira)

• You have solid Scrum experience in a multi-disciplinary environment

• You are proactive

• You are an active listener, able to understand, synthesise and make suggestions

• You are comfortable wearing multiple hats and thrive when juggling multiple projects

• You have high emotional intelligence and a record of leading teams that work hard and have some fun while they’re at it

• You have a proven track record of leading complex software delivery projects that have resulted in high-quality products

• You have a passion for creating an environment that people thrive in, whilst helping them learn and grow

• You are a servant leader and encourage a culture of openness and feedback 

Desirable experience

• B2B SaaS background

• Experience with CRM, Inventory Management, Classified, Workflow, Ordering or Financial systems

• Experience with international development teams (English as a second language)

• Experience with the education industry is a bonus, but not required
