The Boeing Defense, Space and Security division is seeking a Product Data Management Specialist in San Antonio, TX to join the VC-25B Configuration and Data Management team.
Position Responsibilities:
Leading the preparation, review, validation, and release of Product Definition design and deliverables
Performing non-technical checks of engineering Production Definition data, documentation, and drawings to verify that the data meets design standards and contract, procedural and system requirements.
Interpretation of contractual data requirements to ensure compliance
Interacting with multiple technical and non-technical disciplines, teams, suppliers and/or customers.
Leading the scheduling, tracking, review, release and delivery of Contract Deliverables (CDRL)
Verification and support of completed data deliveries, customer acceptance, and follow on actions.
Assisting in reconciling discrepancies by coordinating with affected organizations including design, support, production operations, suppliers, and customers.
Participates in the development of product definition data requirements, the corresponding tracking and verification of compliance to those requirements, plus the resolution of any associated discrepancies/issues.
Management and configuration control of program data utilizing the ENOVIA, PIMS, Mentor Capital, CSDT, MEARS, and other tools.
Leading development of document and data requirements, engineering release unit and/or data management process improvement activities
This Data Management Lead role involves reporting and managing the execution of data items and deliverables, both to our customer and from suppliers. It involves regularly working and interacting with the program teams, various customers and/or suppliers in support of this. This is a unique opportunity to work on the next generation Presidential Aircraft (VC-25B).
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person†as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person†includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills at the executive level
Experience documenting and tracking engineering processes
Experience working with Microsoft Office tool suite
Experience with Data Management concepts, requirements, processes, and metrics.
The skill and ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop conclusions/recommendations from the appropriate data sources.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with contract management, data marking, or technical data package delivery for Department of Defense programs
Demonstrated Data Management experience utilizing product lifecycle management software (ENOVIA, CATIA, PIMS, ETAC, REDARS)
Experience working with supplier data and documentation, and Customer Supplier Data Transmittal (CSDT) Tool
Previous experience leading data management teams
Active Top Secret security clearance
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years\' related work experience, 8 years\' related work experience, etc.).
