THE ROLE
Procurement Project Manager
Are you a procurement project manager who has experience of designing and implementing procurement tools and processes?
As a project manager within the procurement function, you will design, implement, and manage tools and processes to drive efficiencies, enable savings opportunities and improve controls in the source to contract and procure to pay processes.
You will join the Procurement Development and Operations team, working closely with the Procurement category teams, business stakeholders, finance tech, 3rd party suppliers, and the finance change team.
THE TEAM
The Procurement function at ASOS is responsible for all 3rd party expenditure with non-stock (GNFR) suppliers. We are organised to manage categories of spend and key stakeholder groups with the flexibility to pivot and prioritise.

What you'll be doing:
Propose the projects to be delivered for the life of the engagement
Initiate each project
- Propose scope and identify benefits
- Agree prioritisation
- Agree impacted parties, Procurement, business users, suppliers
- Build in appropriate audit / controls
- Identify project stakeholders and appropriate project governance
- Build and manage a project plan including time and cost
Deliver the projects
- Lead the project (and any virtual team resource) to achieve the agreed project scope
- Monitor the plan, budget, dependencies as well as risks and issues
- Track and communicate project status
- Design and deliver change and education materials
Close the projects
- Transition project deliverables to BAU
We’d like to meet someone with:
- Experience of Procurement processes and technology
- Experience of using Lean principles
- Proven experience of delivering process or technology change projects
- Leadership skills, delivery focus and gravitas to project positive energetic attitude and resolve disputes and challenges
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment
- Possess a high degree of project planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to effectively articulate and present complex information and risks to non-technical / non process focused users
- Ability to build positive relationships with Procurement, system users, key business stakeholders and tech teams
- Microsoft Dynamics experience
