Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Responsibilities

We are looking to fill a leadership position within the fast-paced Cloud Procurement Operations team responsible for Materials Master, Hardware Procurement, and the Cloud Controls and Procurement Execution, processing over 70k POs, 7k contracts, and 2200 SKU builds annually. This India-based role will manage a local team of FTEs and vendors responsible for the execution and controls, daily responsibilities, and improvement of processes via automation & process engineering. In this role, you will:

• Work closely with the other supply chain teams to deliver the right experiences and results.

• Build strong working relationships across multiple disciplines (Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Suppliers & others), cultivating strategic relationships & influence across the organization.
• Manage vendor team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase orders.
• Communicate effectively with teams worldwide and represent within a broader organization.
• Manage data on a variety of platforms, including business, procurement, and contract management tools.
• Build familiarity and develop knowledge of the stakeholders’ business scenarios and priorities to maximize effective and collaborative solutions.
• Become a trusted advisor to operations stakeholders.
• Provide clear, effective, and timely communications.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, for example, to reduce purchase order and contract execution cycle times.
• Research issues to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Apply a data driven approach to solving problems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in science, engineering, operations, industrial or technical equivalent with 15+ years total experience
• 8+ years of demonstrated managerial experience in Cloud server/network hardware supply chains or equivalent complex, large-scale manufacturing supply chain operations
• 5+ years of experience in managing and developing a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in identifying, hiring, and developing high performance teams
• Strong critical thinking and ability to drive resolution in ambiguous situations
• Demonstrated expertise in program management methodologies, process, and tools
• Lean/Six-Sigma/BB, 5S, Kaizen certification is a plus
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus (SAP, Dynamics 365, SAP, or comparable)
• Excel analytics and Power BI skills is a plus
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high demand environments
• Maintain good attitude and show flexibility in changing circumstances
• Successfully collaborate across multiple teams
• Strong program management skills involving multiple internal and external partners
• Strong customer-focus and attention to detail
