Job Description

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the purchasing and supply management of raw materials at Banglen manufacturing plant in Thailand. This role shall closely cross-functional work with Planning, Logistic, Production, and Quality teams to ensure supply on time & in full delivery and service level, safety and quality.

Core Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Procurement Operations and Control – Manage and handle procurement operation both of direct and indirect material.
  • Daily Purchasing Control and Accountable – Take responsibility for daily purchasing and supply management of direct and indirect material.
  • Purchase-to-Pay Management – Handel end-to-end process of procurement daily operation from Purchase to Pay.
  • Coordination and follow up – Coordinate between supplier and in-house stakeholders to ensure on-time & in-full delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Supplier Negotiation – Negotiate with suppliers regarding the assigned category's price, quality, and delivery conditions.
  • Supplier Data Management – Register or maintain supplier data and raw material data in the internal system, i.e., SAP, RMMS.
  • Supplier Compliance and Performance Review – Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth procurement operation, such as Supplier compliance, supplier performance, and project assignment.
  • Indirect Procurement Management – Responsible for the purchasing and supply management of the MRO, Business Services and general procurement activities with a total annual third party spent USD 2 million.
  • Supply and Equipment Availability Validation – Initiate contact with the vendors to check on supply and equipment availability, issue purchase orders and follow-up invoices.
  • Total Value Delivery Commitment and Achievement – Achieve the total value delivery i.e., cost saving and cost avoidance through new project initiatives, current source & supply while maintaining the high quality of product and service levels.
  • Continuous Improvement in Actions – Create the continuous work improvement initiatives and drive for deliverables.
  • Support any ad hoc works – Support the business in undertaking special project assignments as well as ad-hoc request under supervision of Procurement Supervisor.

 

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any fields.
  • 1 – 3 years working experience in Procurement.  Experience in food/beverages is an advantage.
  • Strong in good interpersonal relations skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to organize, prioritize in support of business objectives
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.
  • Flexibility in working hours required. The selected applicant may need to work offsite from time to time outside normal working hours.
  • Proactive and sense of urgency mindset.
