The purpose of this role is to be responsible for procurement of bulk raw material, palletized raw materials and primary & secondary packaging required for scheduled production by managing optimum level of stock by following inventory governance.

Education & Professional Qualification

• College/university degree preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong attention to details.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, coaching and communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
• Position will need to be available on an on call basis afterhours and weekends where appropriate for crisis management.

Knowledge/Experience

• Production Planning
• Fully functional in Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience in food / feed process industry preferred.
• Capable of communicating, persuading, managing cost, initiating work, engaging peers, motivating themselves, functioning within a team, complying to work standards, mechanically inclined, leadership skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Manage the supply of local and overseas raw materials / packaging materials according to sales forecast / RM inventory / supplier and RM specificities / production planning / warehouse capacity / events in order to assure the daily needs of the plant

• Receive inventory items in accordance to Traceability Standards and prepare them for accounts payable

• Specific monitoring and communication with NA Commercial/Finance Department of items imported from foreign countries / scheduling of inbounds / track containers / adherence to delivery dates

• Prepare and provide adequate procurement orders for raw materials and packaging

• Perform inventory of raw ingredients / packaging materials / finished products in bins, silos and racks (cyclical and period end inventories) in accordance with governance standards

• Provide functional support to Supervision on Flow activities

• Monitor best before dates to ensure proper following of FIFO and that there is no expired product on hand

• Manage PK/RM Holds (I.E. quality, new launches, SARF’s, stickering projects, releases) as required to prevent non-conformities in the production stream

• Manage and maintain requirements for RM/PKG documentation and traceability records

• Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules

• Report performance and establish statistics linked to planning activities

• Support Inventory Coordinator in determining and understanding all inventory adjustments and reconciliations

• Manage FG and PK BOM’s within ERP System

• Monitor, track, and record the period over period usage of RM/PK’s in compliance with governance standards

• Maintain vendor compliance files in conjunction with regulatory and NA Purchase Department

• Perform recording works into ERP System or any other allocated software according to internal Governance rules - Production records as needed, Inventory extractions and corrections, Manage in relationship with Financial Department any code needs (RM, packaging, recipe, consumables, in process products, Finished Goods…)
