Job Summary

Working as a member of the Information Technology team, the Procure to Pay System Configuration Lead is primarily responsible for the successful configuration and delivery of our Procure to Pay (P2P) solution.  The role will partner with the business and technical teams to ensure the enterprise-wide P2P system is effective, efficient, and fit for purpose.  

The P2P System Configuration Lead will assist in the design and configuration of our Procure to Pay system to align with our Technology Transformation initiative.  This includes but is not limited to configuring new functionality to meet business needs, identifying new system features to drive efficiencies, upgrading system to latest version(s), partnering with the system vendor on defect resolution, process documentation and other key P2P functions.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure the system is configured correctly for all P2P system users
  • Convert requirements to functional specification documents, with the input from the Development Team and Third-Party Hosting Vendor
  • Evaluate release functionality to determine if new features should be enabled to drive efficiencies to the business
  • Configure and deploy new P2P system functionality
  • Participate and/or lead the deployment of new P2P system versions
  • Capture new system functionality needed and work with the vendor to get it added to their roadmap
  • Lead defect resolution and RCA efforts with the vendor and the Information Technology team
  • Ensure we have complete and current process documentation for all IT activities & interfaces related to the P2P system
  • Monitor data flows to and from internal systems to ensure all data is current and accurate
  • Provide the required P2P application documentation to Internal Audit
  • Serve as the Procure to Pay Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new IT work requests / projects
  • Collaborate with internal audit and vendors to ensure proper change control processes are being followed and provide required documentation upon request

Minimum Requirements

Education, Required Skills & Competencies

  • Relevant business/technical degree (Information Technology Preferred)
  • 7+ years of work experience
  • 3+ years or more of hands-on experience with P2P applications
  • Strong expertise and deep understanding of configuring P2P applications (SMART by GEP and/or Oracle experience is preferred)
  • Solid business acumen regarding P2P applications and defect resolution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Agile methodology preferable)
  • Strong understanding of data/integration both inbound as well as outbound with source systems (ERP - Oracle, SLM, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a dynamic working environment
  • Displays positive mindset and collaborates well with stakeholders
  • Good presentation skills; to assist with system overviews with new users
  • Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and motivate a team, both in-person and remotely.
  • Good presentation skills to achieve business acceptance of P2P practices and procedures
