The FinOps Innovation Team aims to create step change innovation through mapping technology opportunities with business areas of focus. We achieve this through an iterative process moving opportunities from concept to proof of concept to minimum viable product to hand over to the business owner and into Production. The ultimate objective is to develop user-oriented solutions that make use of the latest technological capabilities and that can then be handed over to other parts of the organisation for global roll out. We do this in collaboration with users, process experts as well as our shared services and IT organisations. Seizing of innovation opportunities is a key priority for Group Finance Operations to ensure we our processes exceed their world class status. 

 

The successful candidate will work within virtual, cross functional teams and be responsible for the delivery of Innovation initiatives. Furthermore, they will play a key part in understanding and formulating problem statements and designing solutions that meet the success criteria of the business by using Design Thinking Methodologies. Having curiosity for new technologies as well as having resilience and determination to bring business challenges to a successful resolution is crucial in the role. Backgrounds in product/solution development as well as finance and accounting are an advantage.

You will

  • Review and assess innovation opportunities within current process portfolio
  • Deliver Innovation Projects
  • Identifies business requirements of agreed improvements and manages related project steps from the functional perspective.
  • Devise change approaches to achieve step-change improvements within any of the global processes, e.g. Footprint, Technology or Robotics usage 
  • Work closely with all stakeholders (eg local Fin-Ops Teams, ERP CoE, System Integrators,) to improve the quality of accounting and reporting. 
  • Provides input to the execution of process standardisation, harmonisation and improvements within the assigned process area to achieve world class levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supports GPLs and GPOs in management of the approval/ rejection of business cases or change request (systems, process, policy).  
  • Drive and deliver the functional requirements for projects

 

You must have

  • ERP expertise (SAP preferred)
  • Process & Solution design experience  
  • Experienced in finance or finance related areas
  • Professional Degree in Accounting/Finance, Project management, Data or Computer Science 
  • Basic Project Management skills
  • Basic SAP ERP expertise
  • A working knowledge of accounting standards and the telecoms market
  • SAP detailed expertise
  • Experience across multiple financial processes
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral and presentation) to summarise and explain complex issues to a variety of audiences. Able to work in a virtual environment in a multi-national environment
  • Self-motivated to provide timely and good quality services for stakeholders’ ad-hoc requests whilst managing priorities to ensure the completion of other longer-term deliverables.
