Job Description

Amazon Web Service’s Private Pricing Operations (PPO) team is looking for a talented Senior Approvals Operations Manager to support AWS’ dynamic and rapidly growing business. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the "" computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, delivery, database services, browsers and more.
The Senior Manager Approvals will be responsible for improving operational efficiency of Private Pricing approvals, while ensuring the approvals process operates seamlessly to maximize deal velocity while maintaining a high quality and consistent output. You will define the organizational and short and long-term goals for the team. You are the senior escalation point for approvals-related complex or strategically significant matters and provide guidance based on experience, advanced business judgement, and understanding the impact on stakeholders. You help the team and their customers reach consensus on difficult issues. You identify opportunities and define the to achieve organization-wide objectives. You streamline or eliminate excess process. You influence teams to decouple from dependencies and eliminate problems that stifle innovation.
A successful candidate will be able to distill diverse inputs from large internal customer segments and stakeholders to set a vision, design , and achieve consensus on goals and priorities; work with internal or external cross-functional teams to build scalable process improvements that increase efficiencies; participate in mentoring and peer development, whether directly or via development of materials (e.g. training, on-boarding); and be willing to roll up their sleeves and build with us.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of business, finance, legal, or other comparable experience

· Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Senior management experience running an operations team (preferably global)
· Executive level written and oral communication skills
· Legal experience, or strong finance background demonstrating a high level of analytical aptitude
· Ability to lead by demonstrating sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
· Excellent goal setting and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet organizational deadlines
