Becoming a Privacy Business Partner within Capita Government Services – Home based:
About the role:
Supporting Information Governance compliance and having responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of a Data Protection compliance framework across Capita Public Service Division both in line with Capita policy, industry best practice, and the Data Protection Act.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver a data protection compliance framework in line with regulation, legislation, Capita policy, industry best practice, and the DPA.
- Develop routine compliance reports.
- Support, advise and approve the production and update of privacy/data protection impact assessment documentation (DPIA).
- Assist in the management of the Information Asset Registers and data flow register
- Maintain accurate records on data protection requests
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly comprehensive reports on data protection
- Facilitate and respond to ICO complaints and requests for information relating to data protection or freedom of information.
- Increase awareness of data protection, across the Division, including training & communication plans through numerous delivery methods including formal presentations
- Provide support to ensure the effective maintenance of data protection in all business areas
- Ensure that all documentation complies with client requirements, appropriate certifications and Capita policy
- Offer advice and guidance on data protection and freedom of information law to employees at all levels to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information
- Support the development of data protection and Information Governance and Security strategy to deliver an effective compliance framework
- Attend, as required, meetings including leading on data protection within Capita Public Service.
Essential Skills:
- Track record of delivering data protection frameworks
- Detailed knowledge of data protection legislation
- Knowledge of Freedom of information legislation
- Experience of delivering audit, compliance and risk and assessments
- Experience of responding to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and information rights requests
- Experience of delivering presentations on data protection and information governance to all levels.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management
- High level of commercial awareness and business acumen
- Experience in report writing, presentations and developing dashboards
- Experience of risk management
- Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales imposed by legislation and business need
- Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level, including at Director level.
- Ability to analyse current business practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Relevant regulatory/industry qualifications
