The Role

As a member of the application engineering organization, you will actively chip in to the code base to implement functional and non-functional requirements for the Equity Common platform. You should possess diagnostics and problem solving skills and be able to translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.

In this role on the Equity Common Engineering team you will produce high-quality, testable code for sophisticated products and efficiently deploy them onto AWS, so they can be used by Asset Management professionals. We want you to be motivated by having the autonomy to lead, build and craft phenomenal solutions. The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience with middleware Java stack, messaging technologies and web containers
  • Proven experience with client side tech stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Angular
  • Creative, results-oriented problem solver with experience in software development including automated testing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field
  • You are a full stack developer with 8 plus years developing large scale business solutions using Angular 7 or later, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, Microsoft .NET C#, WPF, and XAML
  • With an innovative attitude, you can deliver quality solutions that are maintainable, extensible, reusable and performant
  • You have worked on an Agile Software delivery team and have experience with continuous integration tools and code versioning tools like GIT and Stash
  • You have experience writing automated unit, component, integration, and system tests using tools like Junit, Cucumber, and Fitnesse
  • You are passionate about engineering excellence with a strong understanding of object oriented programming skills
  • You collaborate closely with your team, mentoring junior team members, analyzing problems, recommending solutions and delivering technology results
  • You have a passion for continued learning, and will continually learn about new technology trends and the Equity Asset Management business

  • Building quality solutions that align with the technology blueprint and standard methodologies to solve business problems by driving design, development, quality and ongoing support
  • Collaborating closely with the product owners/analysts/business partners to understand the business problem
  • Working closely with the team's architect to ensure adherence to the technology blueprint and roadmap
  • Actively participating in knowledge exchange through innovation days, code and design reviews, exploring emerging technologies etc.
