As a Principal Voice User Interface Designer for AI within the XD org you will deliver on business objectives through the creation of superior user experiences for Truist clients, prospects, and employees. This role will lead across projects and segments to define the strategy multi-modal experiences. You will partner closely with others in design, product and tech in an exciting and emerging space that leverages AI-based platforms to deliver the best experiences to our clients. As a VUI Designer you will not only design the conversations between bots and humans (including responses, buttons, microcopy etc.) but you will also develop the ideal logic & hierarchy for features and products that leverage financial insights to bring value to the end-user. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Principal VUI Designer for AI/Conversation Design within the XD org you will deliver on business objectives through the creation of superior user experiences for Truist clients, prospects, and employees. This role will lead across projects and segments to define the strategy multi-modal experiences. You will partner closely with others in design, product and tech in an exciting and emerging space that leverages AI-based platforms to deliver the best experiences to our clients. As a VUI Designer you will not only design the conversations between bots and humans (including responses, buttons, microcopy etc.) but you will also develop the ideal logic & hierarchy for features and products that leverage financial insights to bring value to the end-user. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. BA/BS degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, Service Design, Communication Design, Computer Science, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, other related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously.
4. Demonstrated ability to influence product direction through a deep understanding of users and design concepts
5. Strong communication and presentation skills.
6. Mastery of UX and UI standards.
7. Basic understanding of CSS/HTML and Content Management Systems.
8. Possess an understanding of the intersection of technology and human behavior

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Web Design, Service Design, Communication Design, Computer Science, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, other related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Advanced experience creating design artifacts such as journey maps, wireframes, high fidelity comps that apply brand guidelines, service design blueprints, personas and prototypes
3. Considerable knowledge about human abilities, human limitations, and other human characteristics that are relevant to design
4. Knowledge of research techniques and the understanding of when to use what technique to ensure validity of data collected when conducting research with human participants
5. Experience in creating user experience designs that create a competitive advantage and experience in scientifically measuring the effectiveness of those designs with end users
6. Strong understanding of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
7. Ability to write source code for advanced HTML and CSS for cross-browser development
8. Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite.
9. Experience in agile development.
10. Banking or financial services experience.
