What You Will Achieve

AsaPrincipal User Interface Designer, you willbeanalyzing opportunities and creating compelling storytelling in the form ofwireframing and higher fidelity interactive prototypes as part of a rapid ideation process. Because of who we are at Dell Technologies, you should be comfortable doing so in a Windows environment. You will have access to a selection of traditional, and collaborative cloud-based prototyping tools in use by our team. The ability to balance tactical expertise with a customer-centered strategy for Dell’sservice designis paramount to success in this role. The Dell Services Technology group designs and develops applications and services for customers and internal team members to save time and costs associated with customer care. Dell is seeking a driven and experienced User Interface Designer for our User Experience (UX) Design team. You will join a team of design experts as a SeniorPrincipalandpartner with our product-engineering teams to deliver delightful, unified experiencesfor millions of Dell customers worldwide.

You will:

• Lead our team in best practices, design standards,and resource library development and growth

• Design rich, visual user-interaction solutions across a range of platforms and mediums

• Balance the needs of the business and the user with the reality of our development environment; ensuring your team’s solutions are desirable, feasible, and viable

• Act as a key player in the strategic design process of projects, assuming responsibility for the overall customer experience strategy and execution

• Collaborate with other teams, leaders, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with related brand and product initiatives

• Work with outside vendors on producing creative/interactive projects or digital assets

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years of related experiencein evaluating feature/product/service requirements and developing storytelling assets and prototypes

• Understand, plan for,and be constantly aware of the impact of design decisions on the overall customer journey and business impact

• Generally up to date with the trends in the space while also having the knowledge of when to disregard them

• Strong understanding of both graphic design and the delivery of HTML/CSS/JS templates and becomfortable having technical and creative conversations

• Experience with conflict resolution, negotiation, and compromise in a team environment

Desired Experience and Skills

• Exceptional skills in design environments including Figma and Miro

• Experience in technical services industry and exposure to tiered offer structures

• Strong Familiarity and/or Experience with Dell Technologies Services Portfolio

• Professional experience creating designs for a global audience by being mindful of translation and localization impact to visual layouts

• Experience articulating design decisions and presenting work to various audiences both virtually and in person
