The challenge

The Corporate Product Partnership Operations team works closely with Adobe’s top partners, Adobe’s executives, and internal stakeholders across the Digital Media (Creative/Document Cloud) business unit to not only ensure core software and hardware compatibility and manage dependencies, but also analyze relevant partner opportunities to advance Adobe’s growth strategy through strategic engagements with our top partners. As a Principal Technical Partner Manager you will be responsible for managing the technical partner relationship: identifying and driving the technical engagements between one of Adobe’s top partners and Adobe’s engineering, program management, product and product marketing teams with a focus on minimizing risks and driving impactful results for both Adobe and our partners that align with our corporate objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Drive day-to-day progress of programs & projects and lead dependencies with internal & external teams
  • Connect with external partner to validate technical issues, manage pre-release feedback, raise priority fixes/bugs and compatibility issues related to Adobe products
  • Handle issues and risks, build mitigation plans and raise to appropriate partners appropriately, remove team impediments
  • Validate technical and design reasons for Adobe app acceptance/rejection in app stores
  • Lead and coordinate across technical product teams to resolve technical issues and provide timely responses to their requests for technical support
  • Stay up to date on the latest partner updates/releases and advise internal teams on relevant changes and potential impact
  • Effectively manage and grow technical liaison relationships with partner companies at many levels and effectively represent bilateral corporate agendas, company goals and objectives resulting in influencing partners
  • Proactively drive execution of projects across multiple Adobe and Partner teams and ensure alignment to joint timelines and priorities
  • Effectively manage change and risk, create mitigation plans and call out appropriately with recommendations and sound rationale, in a timely manner
  • Consistently manage status and reporting to provide project clarity to team members and management
  • Participate in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making, while balancing competing business needs.

What you need to succeed

  • Desire to be on a highly productive, fast-paced team with senior executive exposure.
  • Self-motivated and not afraid to tackle unknowns, demonstrates a strong bias to action.
  • Ability to bring clarity and organization to ambiguous situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience managing multi-faceted projects with internal and external business partners to successful completion
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach ability to indirectly influence teams
  • Deep understanding of partner company technologies and their applicable technical and/or business impact to Adobe; unbridled appetite for understanding new initiatives, technologies, and market approaches of partner companies and the ability to concisely communicate important trends and shifts to Adobe partners
  • Minimum of 10-15 years' experience as a program manager in software, SaaS and/or related industry
