Principal Systems Analyst – Cyber Fraud Capability
The Role
Fidelity’s Financial Intelligence Unit is seeking a motivated Principal Systems Analyst passionate about delivering capabilities for combating cyber fraud using a range of technical and data management tools.
The Team
We strive to protect Fidelity businesses, clients, customers, and reputation by providing effective and timely analytical, data science and technical capabilities, optimally balancing fraud risk and customer experience. This team deploys advanced analytics and solutions to detect and combat fraud for our financial products and services customers, collaborating with Cyber Fraud Investigators, surveillance analysts and business owners, assembling and analyzing fraud risk signals in near real time.

Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization. It is important you are comfortable driving conversations with teams with multifaceted backgrounds and purpose, such as Cyber Security and Technology Teams, Architects, Product Owners and Vendors.
Extensive experience in technical business analysis.
The role requires an understanding of key technology concepts such as access controls, audit trail analysis, browser and device characteristics, network and systems administration, online/e-commerce and mobile application topologies.
Comfortable doing hands on analysis with technologies such as SQL, Splunk, Datadog, Kafka, Elasticsearch, browser tools, python and shell scripting.
Ideal candidates would come from backgrounds such as technical audit, cyber security operations, or dev sec ops.
Expertise in systems and applications observability a plus.
Ability to quickly learn and gain knowledge of technologies and integration patterns in a variety of platforms and systems.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a similar technical field.
The Value You Deliver
Foster relationships with key partners within business units and technology groups, keeping abreast of product and system changes, assessing impact to fraud prevention and detection solutions.
Providing requirements, guidance and influencing change in business technologies to implement fraud detection needs.
Working closely with architects, software engineers, cyber investigators, data scientists, incident management and forensic associates to understand the intent, objectives, and activities of cyber fraud actors.
Conducting deep dives on technical processes and systems, forensic data and logs analysis, developing, detailing and maintaining analytical procedures.
Conducting research and evaluating technical cyber intelligence to assess financial fraud risks in collaboration with other fraud analysts and trusted outside organizations.
Staying ahead of innovative cyber and technology trends in IT, security, and fraud controls, including cloud, structured and unstructured data, web services and applications, streaming data and crypto to help us plan for regular cyber fraud capability improvements.
