What you’ll achieve on the Edge team…

• Industrial Edge computing has emergedas a massively distributed frontier that extends the Enterprise Edge into the Industrial Edge, where most IoT data is produced. You will get to work with an experienced team of brilliant people in a dynamic environment and help play a role to grow a new business from the ground up. As one of our key solutions-focused engineers, you will help define future edge computing.

What you will do…

• You will be responsible to help build and document integrated industrial marked focused Edge solutions/stacks in a role that is very hands-on and includes validation of solutions.

• The Dell Technologies Edge Solution Engineering team is providing end-to-end solutions for our customers and partners. The advances in IoT are driving more complex and capable edge solutions. Providing fully integrated offerings will be a key part of this role.

• As a member of our Edge Solution Engineering team, you will be responsible for helping build and documentan integrated solution/stack. We have multiple openings on this new team. These positions will be focused on the hands-on building and validation of industry-specific solutions that integrate into Manufacturing and Industrial Automation environments that utilize automation control systems.

You will also…

• Work with Architecture and Product Management teams to refine solution definitions and objectives.

• Build out industry-specific Edge focused solutions and document process and decision points

• Work with Engineering Development teams to build out a robust solution

• Validate solutions for quality and robustness

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

Essential Requirements:

• Requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience

• Proven ability to develop and write solution white papers, deployment guides and operations run books

• Ability to design, develop and execute tests in support of solution validation

• Experience building end-to-end solutions, from bare metal to IT acceptance

• Experience with failover/failback, backup and other technology to make solutions robust

• Infrastructure and application experience in industrial environments, such as manufacturing, retail, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and smart cities

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with edge solutions

• Experience with Cloud, Kubernetes and containers

• Experience with network administration
