AWS is looking for an experienced technologist to be a trusted advisor to our Financial Services customers and partners as they adopt AWS.

In this role, you will serve as a core member of the Global Financial Services technology team, and play a key role in executing our go-to-market strategy. You will engage with customers and partners to determine business needs, identify opportunities and issues, and develop related technical solutions and value propositions leveraging the power of AWS cloud technology.

You will dive deeply into technical details (e.g. design choices, best practices, use cases) with customer and partner teams, bring deep Financial Services domain knowledge, be able to influence executive-level stakeholders, and be a key contributor to constructive technical solutions discussions. You will help customers identify both the opportunities and risks with their technical decisions. You will take part in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working in Financial Services organizations; implementing solutions in a regulated environment and knowledge supporting Financial Services related applications
· Experience designing and implementing solutions in the Financial Services industry
· Excellent presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.
· Fluency (spoken, written) in English is required for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are desired but not required:

· Strong understanding of AWS and/or Public Cloud is preferred but not required
· Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
· Computer Science degree
· Experience in public speaking to large audiences
· History of successfully navigating complex relationships and work in a team environment
· Knowledge and practice of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, infrastructure as code etc
