The Gaming Publisher Experience (GPX) team is responsible for ensuring developers and publishers have low friction access to our ecosystem, rich insights into the publishing experience, and a world class platform to provide their content to Gamers around the world.  We work closely with partner teams across Xbox, as well as both internal and external game studios to further these goals.  We’re always striving to find new and innovative ways of incorporating the latest in design patterns, cloud tech, and machine learning to create better experiences – all while maintaining very high availability services and ensuring the safety and security of our customers’ data.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a leader to manage GPX’s engineering team in India. 
In this role, you will be managing senior and junior developers.  This team has a focus on back end services, and it has front end responsibilities for internal and publisher facing tools and analytics.  This team also works very closely with partner teams inside of GPX and across Xbox to power their user experiences, and to provide data to their back end services.

The right candidate for this position should have practical experience managing front and back-end engineering teams. You will be an experienced people manager who excels at getting the best out of their team by identifying new talent, providing development and growth opportunities for your team, and leading with empathy.  You will be working closely with the GPX engineering team in Redmond, USA, as well as other partner teams in Microsoft India, and should have experience working with globally distributed teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience with designing, developing, and shipping highly reliable distributed systems and services
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
• Knowledge of service technologies such as Redis, Kubernetes, Azure Data Lake
• Proven track record as a strong and effective engineering leader -managing and growing successful teams 
• Strong customer focus and passion for doing the right thing for the customer  
• Proven ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of stakeholders 
• Excellent communication skills and cross group collaboration 
• Ability to quickly pick up existing concepts and employ new techniques and strong problem solving 
• BE/BTECH degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent degree
