Responsibilities

We are a high-performance team working on the cutting edge of file storage solutions in the cloud as well as on-prem/hybrid space, and you will have plenty to learn, innovate on, and grow with a broad scope for impact, in the areas of distributed systems, cloud storage and remote file systems. You will get an opportunity to work and grow with and learn from a group of very talented engineers and leaders with vast experience in the field of storage and file systems, and to tackle challenges of scale and criticality that will broaden your engineering horizons.

You will have an opportunity to lead a team of talented engineers, research technologies and propose solutions, evaluate design options, make recommendations and decisions, implement solid and efficient engineering practices, and work cross-group with our partners in order to build world class end to end solutions that will delight our customers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
12+ years of experience in developing quality products and services, preferably in systems and backend services, with a solid understanding of multi-threaded/asynchronous application/systems development using C/C++ and/or C#/.NET.

4+ years of experience in providing technical leadership to the team. 2+ years of experience as a people manager.

Great design and problem-solving skills, multi-threaded programming with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale.

Demonstrated experience shipping products - on time with high quality.

Strong interest in building organizations and leading teams to high levels of excellence is desired.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

BE/BS/BA degree or higher in computer science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in architecting/designing/implementing components of file or storage systems, operating systems, distributed systems, databases, cloud services including high-performance distributed storage and networking is a definite plus.

Knowledge of file sharing protocols SMB/CIFS and/or NFS is a plus.
Windows or Linux operating system knowledge is a plus.
