The rapid growth of the Microsoft Power Platform has been powered by organizations across the globe investing in leveraging low-code / high-productivity as the accelerator for their digital transformation ambitions. Power Platform is a strategic new growth area for Microsoft, but more importantly, it is a disruptor technology that is transforming careers of ‘citizen developers’, making Pro-developers far more productive and helping IT finally innovate at the pace that their businesses expect.

The Power CAT (Customer Advisory Team), supporting Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, AI Builder and Microsoft Dataverse, is an agile team of Solution Architects, Program Managers and Software Engineers within the Business Applications engineering group. The charter of the team is to provide adoption acceleration and architectural advisory services to key enterprise customers, helping maximize the business value customers get from the platform, while minimizing time to value.

As a Principal Software Engineering Lead in the Power CAT team you will work with the PM team to conceive, design and implement Power Platform toolkits and tools that serve both internal business needs as well as customers.
A successful lead in this role will not only be accountable for business outcomes overall, but lead through modeling, coaching, and caring for their team. 

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers, setting goals and priorities, allocating resources, assigning tasks and sprints and ensuring delivery on time and budget.
• Establish and guide the team in following the engineering best practices.
• Drive the backlog working in close partnership with PMs and stakeholders.
• Work closely with stakeholders including PMs, Architects to understand the business requirements.
• Hire and grow a team of software engineers. Manage their performance reviews, coaching and mentoring the team.
• Design & Implement applications and services.

Qualifications

• Experience and ability to be a technical leader in a project.
• Five or more years of industry experience designing, developing, and shipping high quality scalable software or services.
• Experience with Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
• .Net, C#, Typescript, JavaScript, Html, CSS, AI, ML, Data Analytics, SQL.
• Strong collaboration and partnership skills.
• Customer focus and passion for improving engineering productivity.
• A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
