The Role

With over $460 billion in assets under management, Fidelity’s Global Asset Allocation division (GAA) is a leading provider of asset allocation solutions for retail and institutional clients. The range of investment solutions includes target date funds, target allocation funds, income and real return strategies, world allocation funds, managed volatility strategies, and custom institutional solutions. Multi Asset Class Technology is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This is an opportunity to work directly with Portfolio Managers and Analysts developing technology solutions to support portfolio management, portfolio construction, trading, and risk oversight of a new suite of products that are investing in alternative assets. This position can be in Boston, Merrimack, Raleigh, Smithfield and Westlake.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics or Advanced Mathematics; or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with a small team to develop rapid solutions
• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing Web Applications (Single Page App preferred) and RESTful APIs
• Experience in Single Page Applications using modern frameworks such as Angular
• Experience with Java and using frameworks such as Spring Boot to develop RESTful APIs
• Experience with AWS cloud environment development and deployment is preferred
• Experience with Jenkins is preferred
• Experience with Python development is nice to have, specifically experience with Flask (or Django)
• You are forward-thinking, highly motivated and self-starting, able to work efficiently on independent assignments
• You are a team player
• You can provide guidance and mentorship to the other engineers on the team, specifically for the front end
• You can recognize and generalize solutions to recurring problems
• You know how to use CI/CD effectively
• You have proven hands-on experience developing web services using Java, as well as consuming them in a Web App
• Familiarity with the multi asset class domain and/or financial investment in general is a plus
• Being a standout colleague in a small & dynamic development environment
• Supporting the needs of our investment professionals in the areas of custom tools development, data analysis & information representation
• Focusing on process to improve efficiency, presenting innovative recommendations, and implementing resolutions across the team.

Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. AMT is an integral partner for Asset Management to deliver innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools that enable Asset Management to achieve competitive advantage globally.
