The Role
Healthcare Group (HCG) is looking for a Principal Software Engineer in Test to work on the Health Savings Account product. To ensure a successful launch of a client validation environment, the ideal candidate will establish new automation infrastructure, maintain existing automation, build reusable test artifacts to streamline testing process to ensure product quality and environment readiness/stability. We seek a hardworking self-starter capable of bringing a software engineering attitude to our testing enablement practices.
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
10+ years’ experience in commercial software development using object-oriented design methodology and in Java. Cucumber, Rest Assured, WireMock or Karate experience preferred.
Experience in data quality checks, validating data from multiple feeds, Data Warehouse concepts, data validation from source to target and validating business logics/transformation logics.
Good exposure to cloud technologies. MS Azure is an added advantage.
Proven technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer working across a diverse range of applications at multiple layers of the technology stack.
Work with your agile delivery team, chapter lead and QA team members to understand HSA domain, and accelerate their test automation strategy to enable delivery velocity.
Strong contributor with a collaborative work style, and you enjoy crafting and implementing efficient and effective test strategies.
Proven experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack using a variety of automation frameworks.
Expertise with API Testing using Java, and experience with Cucumber/BDD.
Proven knowledge of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git and can make recommendations on how to best include test automation into pipelines.
Work in a team of SDET’s passionate about automation standard methodologies and building reusable artifacts.

You thrive in an Agile environment and believe in the value of t-shaped squad members.
Crafting test automation suites to support healthcare administration systems.
Participating in testing strategy for system conversion activities.
Working and collaborating on emerging technologies to solve legacy test challenges.
Implementing test infrastructure that can deliver business values immediately but also grow interactively.
The Team
This position will be working on test strategy and implementation of key technical solutions in quality engineering to enable development team to release products into production rapidly with the highest quality. You will be part of a scrum team, as well as part of the Health Care Digital Solutions QA Chapter. Key areas of focus will be frictionless test automation, generic test data management, Mid-Tier automation framework, predictive analytics and CI/CD Integration.
