The Role
Asset Management Technologies is looking for a Principal Software Engineer passionate about developing Data Engineering solutions to support Strategic Advisors business needs. The Principal Software Engineer is responsible for data analysis, Oracle Development, ETL development, applying solid engineering practices, testing, deployment, and providing L3 support. An ideal candidate for this role would be obsessive about analyzing data needs, aiming to improve data quality, and contributing to deliver innovative data solutions to our Strategic Advisor partners. This position is available in Boston, Merrimack, Raleigh, Smithfield, and Westlake.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
8+ years of recent industry experience as an Oracle Data Engineer, and ETL Developer
B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical/engineering discipline
Hands-on in-depth working experience in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL tuning
Working experience with Informatica for ETL, Linux shell scripts, and Autosys
Experience in the development of data intensive processes with high focus on data quality
Working experience using AWS services, GIT Stash, Jenkins, and uDeploy
Proven experience with data analysis and database design.
Development experience in Data APIs, Snowflake, and Python
Experience working in Investing/Finance domains will be a plus
Experience working in agile methodology, providing L3 support, and working as part of geographically distributed teams is desirable
Knowledgeable about modern data pipelines, data streaming, and messaging technologies
Proven ability in coaching junior engineers and fostering strong engineering practices
You have excellent oral and written communication skills as you will present to everyone from entry-level employees to executives
You have an ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
You set realistic expectations, provide estimates at various stages of development, and help prioritizing within a dynamic and shifting environment
You are customer obsessed and are adept at developing relationships and engaging users.
You have curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems.
You have willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions.
You are eager to learn and deliver in a fast-paced environment and thrill the users.

You will lead design and implementation of software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and that are aligned to the program’s strategic direction
Designing, developing, and supporting quality solutions that aligns with the technology blueprint and standard methodologies to solve business problems
Actively participating in activities like innovation days, code, and design reviews, exploring emerging technologies etc.
The Team
The Principal Software Engineer will be part of a global database development team that focuses on building scalable and optimized business intelligence reporting to satisfy Strategic Advisers business needs. This team has a deep understanding of the Strategic Advisors’ data needs, their products, and applications.
