The Role

The successful candidate for this role will become part of the FI Data & Analytics Technology Chapter, an innovative data engineering team that delivers data solutions in support of our FI Business partners. Our team provides modern cloud-based data solutions for the broader FI organization that enables the Sales, Marketing, Finance, and AI/ML Analytics capabilities.

Serving as a hands-on Extended Architect, this role will be a key leadership position and will be responsible for product strategy, technical roadmaps, crafting and developing scalable solutions, and partnering with squads to deliver valuable outcomes for our business partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience engineering enterprise applications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting and building solutions on the AWS platform

  • Strong understanding across cloud infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs

  • Proven experience in AWS Batch technologies, such as AWS EC2, ECS, Lambda, Cloud Formation

  • Well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous integration & delivery CI/CD practices

  • Experience with building container-based systems: Architecture, implementation and managing orchestration platform such as: Docker, ECS

  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling techniques

  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehousing solutions

  • Knowledge of AWS data solutions S3, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, etc.

  • Experience with event driven architecture, caching, batch architectures, crafting systems for high efficiency, low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance

  • Expert experience in one or more object-oriented programming language such as Java and Python

  • Knowledge of data movement design patterns and frameworks like Spring Batch

  • Experience designing and implementing high volume data pipelines

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)

The Team

The Data & Analytics Technology team develops and supports data-intensive applications in support of operational, data lake, and analytical data needs. This role will drive the technical design for high volume data solutions that support the FI business objectives. This is a leadership role that will work across multiple development squads to provide engineering expertise, enforce standards, and accelerate the delivery of business value.
