Position Description:

Designs User Interface (UI) and wire-frames for applications, using JavaScript and Angular frameworks. Designs and develops optimized programming systems in an Agile environment. Builds and analyzes secure code, using OAuth and JWT. Delivers and implements code changes using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and pipelines — Jenkins, Concourse, and uDeploy. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience developing Cloud agnostic dynamic Web applications using open source technologies in a prime brokerage and securities lending environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing Cloud agnostic dynamic Web applications using open source technologies in a prime brokerage and securities lending environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing prime business analytics — analyzing counterparty and stock loan performance, scorecards, counterparty balance allocation, long lending revenue, rate change metrics, whiteboard, crowding, and cash projections using Angular, NodeJS, and Spring Boot in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment.

DE performing security transfers and cash wires, using Angular, NodeJS, Oracle, Docker, and ECS; and creating letters of intent and formatting SWIFT messages built on lightweight Web container applications according to DevOps process, using Angular, NodeJS, Oracle, Docker, and ECS.

DE setting up and automating the processing of files with formats — csv, xlsx, custom parsing with indexing positioning, trailer records, header, footer, XML parser, POI parser, and APIs — for client data – including, holdings and cash balances and market data from data feeds including, Bloomberg, Aztec, and DataLend, using ECS on AWS with auto-scalability.

DE performing treasury and margin risk analytics to expose counterparty and portfolio risk, using Concourse, Jenkins, ECS, S3, Lambda, Java, Docker, JProfile, Selenium, Sonar, and Route53; and integrating and analyzing imagine systems, internal prime risk workstation systems, and real-time hypothetical multi-broker risk assessments, using AWS cloud native services, oAuth integration, and QA Automation framework following 12 factor design.
