The Role

 Fidelity's Enterprise Cloud Computing Web and Data Services Database Engineering team is looking for a passionate Lead Software Engineer. This person will play a key role in building, testing, problem solving, automating, and release of product features in Agile delivery fashion for our database automation and self-service platforms. This person will also take a leadership role in Oracle database certification for the enterprise and work closely with business partners. Our database engineering team is innovative, diverse, passionate, self-motivated, and work in a very dynamic Agile environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

BS or above in Computer Science or related field.

6+ Years of experience in a development and database administration role.

Web development experience with working knowledge of Angular, NodeJS, and JavaScript.

Experience with developing and calling REST APIs

Strong experience in Linux shell scripting a must.

In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases, RAC, Performance & Tuning and SQL Tuning.

Experience working on various Cloud Options (AWS/Azure – both flavors – fully managed/IAAS including practical expertise in migrating databases from on-premises to public cloud.

Working experience on additional RDBMS platforms Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB.

Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL.

Expertise in Database Design, HA, Data Migration option, DR site strategy options keeping RPO and RTO requirements.

Knowledge on how to install and maintain Oracle Golden Gate environments.

Experience crafting, building, and deploying applications in a DevOps environment utilizing CI/CD tools.

Working knowledge of Jenkins and operational pipelines

Experience with Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash).

Provides technical leadership for Database technologies for the Fidelity Enterprise.

Build, Deliver, Configure, and maintain Oracle in a Cloud Infrastructure like AWS.

Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and using Oracle Enterprise Manager (agents).

Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus.

Knowledge of MVC frameworks and/or experience with one or more popular JavaScript toolkits is a plus.

Experience with Python, Java are a plus.

Optimally work in a fast paced, dynamic environment to help the Agile team achieve their goals

 As an engineer on the team, your primary role will be building, testing and engineering applications using modern technologies like Angular, NodeJS, JavaScript, Python, and building REST APIs while gaining knowledge of commercial and open source database technologies.
