The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related field

7+ years of experience with report development, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role

Proficiency and hands-on experience in platforms like Tableau, OBIEE, Power BI

Proficiency in technologies like Java 1.7 or higher, Python, Spring framework, REST, Angular JS, Oracle SQL, Git, Maven/Jenkins

Current with the newest technology trends in the industry

Understands and applies fundamental design principles behind a scalable, low latency, high efficiency solutions

Usage of design patterns and their application

Proven ability to mentor and providing guidance to the team

Proven understanding of Asset management business domain will be an advantage

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Continuous out-of-the-box assessment of status-quo and opportunities for improvement

Self-motivated with proven ability to optimally work with diverse personalities in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Have experience with analyzing large amount of data and provide visualization dashboards to build a story based on the data

Involved in development and delivery of high quality, timely and maintainable reporting capability in an Agile environment which meet functional and non-functional business requirements

Experience with matured Agile SCRUM practices

Current with IT blueprint, frameworks and technologies that would benefit us and improve our productivity

Demonstrates software engineering excellence through continuous integration, continuous deployment, Acceptance Test Driven Development

Domain expertise for the functional and technical areas of focus. Shows eagerness to broaden understanding and knowledge of domain and technology

Practices and contribute towards innovative solutions to increase efficiency

The Team

Strategic Advisors Technology is seeking a highly motivated Principal Software Engineer to join our Shared Services Product Area – Business Intelligence Reporting Team. This role will focus on developing new functionalities and supporting existing reports and applications, partnering very closely with Strategic Advisor’s teams to deliver innovative, cost effective, and timely solutions. The successful candidate will learn the Financial Services, Asset Allocation and Strategic Advisor’s data domain, and will have strong technical, mentoring, oversight, leadership, engagement, and communication skills.
