The Role

We are an agile scrum team that is responsible for the Contact Center platform and engineering which provides our voice, email, and web chat communication channels. Continual improvement is essential in our space. This requires us to seek out associates who are curious, innovative, and driven to settle for nothing less than complete obsession with the experiences of our customers and associates. You will be working with an agile team of engineers and will be expected to coach and mentor junior team members. You would be leading the few sub initiatives global.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
10+ years of development experience with architecting, crafting, developing and maintaining multi-tier internet facing web applications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Expertise with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) delivery and software design, development, test and operational automation
Software development skills, including TDD (test driven development), CPU and memory profiling and GC tuning as well as experience with scripting languages: Perl, UNIX shell, or others
Understand and follow approved project methodology for delivery of project efforts. This includes appropriate levels of communication, documentation, and development process adherence.
Capability to expand their current development expertise in the following technologies Java, Javascript/Node JS, Python, understanding & experience with frameworks like spring and angular, solid understanding of REST principles and experience in design and development of RESTful services
Application development on Public Cloud – e.g. AWS(Serverless (Lambda), ECS/EKS, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Glue etc.,).
Understanding of enterprise-scale platform architecture to which includes considerations for high availability and business continuity.
Contribute to the definition, champion, and manage application architecture standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies You effectively address functional and quality goals of systems during design activities. Apply appropriate approaches to assessing tradeoffs among architectural quality goals
Demonstrates the ability for developing, maintaining, application architecture pattern and cloud deployment patterns. Promote Micro service architecture to enable re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency of data/analytical solutions
Familiar with data communication protocols such as Web, telephony, and other protocols: HTTP, SIP, TLS/SSL, TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, RDP, SDP
Familiar with security protocols and standard methodologies, including OAuth
Experience with containerization, Docker, and orchestration.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and using uDeploy and/or Ansible
Proficiency managing, configuring, and tuning Linux operating systems
The Team
The platform services over 20M clients and processes more than 35M customer interactions per year while operating on a 24×7 basis. This role requires level 3 support of the platform. The team currently focuses on building out the routing capabilities of the Genesys platform based on Fidelity business unit engagement. The team is undergoing a transformation to support the development and customization of the platform for ongoing business needs. This team will take on the ability to identify business needs for a call center onboarding request, determine the capabilities required and assemble/build the platform needed. A diverse skillset is required for this role. Role is based in MMK, Westlake (flexible so long as the candidate can work the time zone for the team)
