The opportunity

Adobe Sign is one of the fastest growing products in Adobe! It is part of Adobe Document Cloud organization, and the group is currently actively seeking Principal Scientist / Architect to help architect its next generation e-signature product that will help establish Sign a category leader in this space.

We ensure the fastest and easiest way to get contracts signed, tracked, and filed. Unlike virtual fax or e-signature software, Adobe Sign offers an end-to-end solution by automating the entire signature process from the request for signature to the distribution and filing of the executed agreement. We are planning to change the way documents are signed and approved in future bringing efficiency to enterprises as well as small business workflows. What we desire is a technical specialist with a real passion for innovation and learning.

What you will do

• Help design highly scalable, multi-tenant, microservices based, distributed systems to serve millions of customer worldwide. 
• Work with digital signature and identity technologies (certificates/CRLs/OCSP, timestamp servers, HSMs, third-party crypto/certificate libraries, authentication protocols, etc.)
• Design & architect key features and collaborate with the product management, design and core engineering teams to work on the most optimized and delightful user experience
• Provide expert guidance to senior management on hard technical issues related to this domain.
• Influence the strategic direction of the product through new technology innovations.
• Influence decisions & recommendations that impact Adobe's major objectives and goals and may have long-term fiscal effects on the Company.
• Drive and champion innovation.
• Project your expertise and influence beyond Adobe and be recognized by peers in industry.
• Drive cross-team standards in order to achieve standardized, PKI- supported capabilities for biometrics, digital signatures, encryption, identification and authentication
• Work with other Adobe teams to explore diverse technologies and embrace cross-team standards

What you need to succeed

• M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 15+ years of experience in developing server-side software product or service development..
• Experience with microservices infrastructure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure
• Experience in Digital Signatures highly desirable
• Familiarity with authentication protocols and standards such as SAML, OAUTH, Single Sign On, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and X.509
• Strong communication skills to present ideas to executive management in a way to build trust and respect.
