Job summary
The Amazon Payment Acceptance & Experience Team is responsible for how Amazon’s customers pay on Amazon’s sites and through Amazon’s services around the globe. In this role, you will work with teams across Amazon and the EU payments industry to deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences while driving change in the industry.
You will will be a single-threaded leader owning a critical program impacting EU customers and businesses. You will need to be able to collaborate with a diverse set of internal and international teams to achieve success in this role. This role places a premium on someone who is effective at simplifying complex problems, identifying areas for innovation, and has excellent communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
· Identify, assess and manage risks, influence and lead a cross-functional team to achieve milestones, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, determine optimal trade-offs, and play whatever role necessary to successfully launch and grow the program.
· Deliverables will include leadership and program updates, working with stakeholders across product, tech, and other business teams to provide a concise, aggregated snapshot of the project.
· Influencing the vision and scope of the program project, gathering data to inform and evolve go-forward plans, proving the projects through pilot testing, and launching and optimizing the program beyond launch.
· Several years of relevant work experience in program/project/product management .
· Strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide initiatives via cross-functional teams
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams with influence rather than authority.
· Experience in a growth-oriented environment, where individuals set aspirational targets and are accountable for achieving goals.
· Ability to handle the ‘hands-on’ day-to-day management of tasks, resolve problems and issues, and implement action plans to meet objectives.
· Proven analytical skills and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business ‘by the numbers’.
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including to senior leaders
· A keen, flexible and aggressive intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to open doors and create new value propositions.
· Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Experience leading a multidisciplinary teams.
· Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment.
· Proactive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dive deep to achieve goals.
· Demonstrated experience of thinking creatively, taking the initiative and constructively advocating on behalf of clients and/or customers.
