This role will take the lead in enabling, nurturing and accelerating the adoption of Microsoft Azure with our most strategic enterprise customers, in order to deliver transformational outcomes. The individual will be responsible for ensuring customers not only design and deploy the most reliable and secure environments in Azure, but also remain healthy and resilient. Working across the broad range of Azure technologies, you’ll compose designs for mission-critical customer scenarios, champion continuous service management and health.
What will it take?
We are looking for seasoned Technology Leaders with a demonstrable track record of architecting and managing the delivery of Mission Critical and transformational systems so that they are delivered to production usage ‘right first time’.
Success in this role combines taking accountability for customer success, listening to and understanding customer use cases and scenarios, translating these into viable cloud architectures and communicating this at an executive level. Close collaboration with specialist engineers in the Microsoft field and delivery teams, peer teams within Microsoft Engineering and diverse customer teams is critical. The role will engage directly with senior level tier-one customers, government officials and partners to architect and execute large and complex digital transformation and infrastructure projects, that may span multiple years.
This position is located in Mumbai or Bangalore and some travel will be required (25-50%)
The successful candidate will have experience in cloud-scale software architecture, development or delivery, and be able to take a collaborative approach to solving problems. They will fit comfortably into an ambitious and challenging environment and have strong verbal and written communication skills. They will be objective, self-disciplined and possess excellent business and technical judgement, and be able to operate autonomously. A critical part of the role is the ability to conceptualize complex ideas quickly and convey those thoughts to others in a clear, effective and motivating manner.
To contribute as a key member of the team, the successful candidate must be eager to take on and lead initiatives, be an open communicator, have a commitment to excellence and possess a strong sense of personal commitment in accomplishing both customer and Microsoft goals.
Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Knowledge, experience and skills:
• 10+ years in an engineering role, as a technical product/program manager, which includes:
• Handson experience in cloud-scale solution architecture, project Management, software delivery
• Bachelors or higher education degree
• Demonstrated experience in onboarding, implementing large, complex programs and solutions that deliver high quality outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal, group dynamic, Presentation, and communication skills
• Up to date Azure platform knowledge, covering infrastructure, applications and/or data
Preferred:
• Demonstrated customer focus and end-to-end thinking across teams and experiences
• 15+ years in an engineering role, as a technical product/program manager
