The Azure Developer Experience team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is looking for a product lead to help create new categories of offerings that complement the Azure hyper scale cloud in conjunction with the Open-Source Software (OSS) community and ISV partners. Our team’s mission is to make Azure the best cloud for all developers.  

In this role, you will work with the OSS community and ISV partners to deliver services â€“ across observability, messaging, storage, networking, and more â€“ that expand access to open-source and third-party technologies in Azure. 

We look for creative problem-solvers to join our product management team. It doesn’t matter what your previous job titles have been – we expect that you’re comfortable with prototyping and experimentation, partnering with internal and external teams to get things done, tackling ambiguous questions, and learning new skills. You’ll need the humility to be okay with ideas and projects that don’t pan out and be able to learn from them. You’ll have the support of your team and active sponsorship from our executive team.  

Responsibilities

We are looking for a customer-obsessed product lead to drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution while managing a diverse and fast-growing group of talented product managers. This role requires strong product thinking and leadership, track record of successfully shipping cloud services or developer-focused products to market, and technical depth in cloud-native and open-source technologies.

• Collaborates across organizational boundaries in building experiences our customers will love 

Qualifications

Required 

• 12+ years of experience with at least 6 years as a product manager shipping large-scale enterprise or developer-focused products to external customers 
• Demonstrated ability to directly manage a team of product managers to achieve results, create a high-performing healthy team, and grow careers 
• Strong background in at least one public cloud ecosystem (Azure, AWS or GCP) with proven track record of shipping highly available and reliable cloud services 
• Strong program management, project management and cross-group collaboration skills 
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields 

Preferred 

• Ability to innovate at a platform level and drive integrated, end-to-end solutions through the shipping process 
• Great cross divisional relationship building skills to establish long lasting, trusted relationship with partner teams 
• Ability to pull together technology and expertise from partners to drive clarity across teams, agree on common goals, and determine the best way to deliver across the Azure ecosystem 

• Great problem-solving skills and outstanding drive for results. Ability to drive clarity, communicate goals to key stakeholders, and motivate them to execute on time and at a high quality 
• Self-starter, who proactively identifies problems, takes risks, proposes solutions, and drives a team to address them
