Our teams build and contribute to Fidelity’s digital presence. As a Principal Software Engineer/Machine Learning Engineer,
You’ll help build and maintain large scale ML Infrastructure and ML pipelines, supply to building advanced analytics, dashboards, machine learning platform and tools to enable both prediction and optimization of model development, extend existing ML Platform and frameworks for scaling model training & deployment.
You’ll help build and scale ML operations using various cloud technologies and collaborating with Data Scientists to robustly scale up ML Models for large volumes in production for real time and batch inference to deliver personalized experiences to our customers.
You’ll optimally partner with Applied Data Scientists and lay software foundations upon which models can be built and explore new technology trends and leverage them to simplify our data and ML ecosystem.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Proven experience in architecture, design, development, and deployment of multi-tier internet facing web and mobile applications, APIs.
proven experience in developing ML infrastructure in the Cloud (AWS preferred) for DataOps, MLOps and DevOps including creation of automated CI/CD pipelines for ML models and deploying ML solutions to production.
Proven experience with building data pipelines in getting the data required to build, train and evaluate ML models, using tools like Apache Spark, Snowflake or other distributed data processing frameworks and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent), version control (Git), Artifactory.
Proven experience in Object Oriented Programming (Java, Python, Scala), functional scripting languages like JavaScript (NodeJs), Unix scripting or related programming languages and exposure to some of Python’s ML ecosystem(numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch).
Proven knowledge of Cloud computing and infrastructure as code (IaS), hands-on experience with developing and deploying and managing applications in the Cloud.
You have proven knowledge with Cloud Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CLI, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS services including EC2, EMR, EKS, S3 and Big Data ML toolkits, such as SparkML and Amazon SageMaker.
Proven understanding of Pip, Flask, Anaconda, or similar tool stack and ability to mentor junior developers on their usage.
Proven work experience in Agile methodologies such as Kanban and SCRUM.
Proven knowledge of applied data science methods, feature engineering and machine learning algorithms, and usage of word embeddings in Natural Language Processing.
Has Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
