The Purpose of This Role
This team deal with Informatica Infrastructure support of WI, PI and FI applications in Fidelity. The responsibility of the team is to build and handle Informatica environments ( on both Linux and Windows Operating System) and make sure they are stable and available 24×7. They also upgrade Informatica to higher versions, migrate Informatica environments to different servers and provide consulting/troubleshooting for issues that L3 teams cannot resolve. The team is also responsible for deploying Informatica code to Production. The team also onboard new applications, folders, users and relational connections. They also work actively on the cloud journey of ETL integrating with cloud environments on Azure and AWS.
The Value You Deliver
The Informatica Administrator is a core member of EI Informatica Administration team. In this role, the engineer works in collaboration with team to:
Administrate and Manage PWI and FI Informatica environments
Build and administrate Windows Operating System Servers
Handle the installations/upgrades of Informatica on Windows and Linux environment.
Migrate Informatica environments to different Servers during OS Upgrades
Handle user access, creation of folders and relational connections
Coordination with appropriate Informatica Development teams during new application setups and various other processes
Think innovatively and have the ability to automate various tasks in the admin space using the powershell scripting, Python, Ansible, API and stash skills.
Work on installation and support of other Informatica products like Powerexchange, Metadata Manger, Informatica Data Quality, Webservice hubs etc
Perform deployment of Informatica code and Files to Production
Be on-call on weekends on rotation basis, support outages , apply hotfixes, EBFs and patches
Handle any emergency Production issues and unexpected outages
Integrate Informatica with cloud environments
The Skills that are Key to this role
Expertise on Informatica Administration areas such as build/handle services, installation of Informatica on servers, performing Upgrades, troubleshooting etc
Experience on administration of Windows operating system
Experience on Windows PowerShell Scripting and Linux shell scripting
Experience on Informatica Data Quality
Experience working on On-Call support model and handling incidents
Proficient with release management and on-call production support practices
Experience on Python or Ansible programming
High level of dedication, initiative, vision and passion
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
Good Understanding of Cloud concepts, AWS and Azure
Good Understanding of Networks ( how TCP/IP works, FTP, SFTP)
Experience on .NET, Stash and APIs
Good understanding of Informatica code development and troubleshooting
Good understanding of Metadata manager and PowerExchange
Good understanding of Database concepts and PL/SQL
Knowledge of HTML, Java and front-end development tools
Knowledge of C# and object oriented principles
Knowledge of Apache
Knowledge on Windows IIS
Knowledge on Bitvise SSH server for Windows
Knowledge on Agile and experience working on Scrum models

You would be able to chip in in maintaining stability of EI Informatica environment by upkeeping infrastructure uptime through your Informatica administration and technical skills, structured organizational change, incident management and patch management mechanism thereby helping Informatica Development teams to run their Production jobs using the Informatica infrastructure seamlessly.

8-10+ years of IT experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
