We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineering Leader with keen technical acumen and proven track record on product delivery to help define and build the product and services for industry.  We expect passion for customer, deep product mindset, design, Long term thinking coupled with engineering rigor and efficiency in building features of high quality. You will be instrumental in accelerating Azure penetration in the market, by building high scale cloud services, products and underlying platforms that enables big data analytics, ML/AI for industry specific solutions.  

• Lead Engineering for fully Managed Geospatial Analytics platform (Azure PaaS) spanning multiple features crews for data Ingestion (satellite, Weather, sensors etc geo spatial data), Geo spatial storage, indexing and search built on core Azure services (CosmosDB, ADLS, AKS, RPaaS etc). This platform will cater to ISV platforms, applications and Insights/DS/ML needs across multiple Industries like Agriculture, Energy, Insurance in short term and Govt, Defense etc in mid/long term.  
• E2E Engg ownership of Agriculture Industry vertical PaaS enabling digital transformation across Farm Management, Farm operation along with deep domain insights and ML models (NDVI, Soil moisture, Yield prediction etc.).  
• Drive Platform adoption with large Agri Tech customers and ISVs 

• Diligently define and execute Engineering for Platform Co-build with one of the largest Agri-Tech ISV with 110+M Acres of farms under management with customer base across US, EU, and Australia.

Responsibilities

• Significant breadth and depth of technical experience building large scale cloud platforms and services-based product. Proven ability to create componentized, well-architected software. 
• Top notch, high-energy communication skills, collaboration skills, and drive for results  
• Be part of the live site culture and drive data driven improvements to both product quality and engineering efficiency  
• Customer obsession, strategic insight, passion for technology & strong analytical skills  

• Excellent knowledge of Java/C#/REST Services/C++ and design patterns 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PHD in Computer Science or related field. Previous experience with web services, storage, cloud computing, and  planet-scale systems is a big plus.   
• 15+ years of experience with designing, implementing, debugging and launching commercial software products or web services, through multiple release cycles 

• 5+ years of experience leading a large team of Managers and Senior/Principal engineers by setting clear expectations/KRs, keeping team members energized, and delivering great results.  
• You are willing to leverage and build on top of the work of others, collaborate across teams/stake holders to quickly meet customers’ and engineers’ needs – including adopting standard cloud capabilities and toolsets
