The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for an expert full-stack web development technologist, to lead the architecture that will underpin our next generation of customer privacy and preference experiences. Based on current and evolving regulations focused on privacy (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA), we are looking for someone who is passionate about building and evolving an enterprise platform of outstanding privacy-first digital marketing capabilities. In this role, you will lead technical and architectural discussions, provide technical mentoring to both peers and other leaders, and collaborate on the definition, delivery, review and acceptance of technology-based marketing solutions. Building relationships and collaboration are crucial skills for the success of this role.

While understanding of current privacy regulations and marketing technologies are useful to this role, training and on-the-job learning opportunities are available to growth-minded candidates.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Technology

• Authoritative knowledge of JavaScript/NodeJS, focused on front-end architecture, but with demonstrable experience in server-side or full-stack development as a secondary focus.
• Deep experience with client-side JavaScript, DOM, events and client interaction, including proficient understanding of web page execution and lifecycle.
• Experience integrating with marketing and personalization technologies strongly desired: tag management (Ensighten, Adobe Launch), A/B test frameworks (Adobe Target).
• Knowledge of current industry privacy regulations helpful (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA). Privacy certification is a plus (Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)).
• Proficiency in cloud-based software delivery (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Comfortable contributing to API architectural and design discussions.
• Comfortable working with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins, uDeploy, etc).
• Mobile development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS/CIS, Marketing or equivalent experience

Leadership

• A track record for working with business partners to lead, design and build web and mobile based architectures.
• Passion for leading conversations on standard methodologies and technical mentoring, including senior developers and leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Process

• Experience with an Agile-based delivery model.
• Expert understanding for Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Understanding for and experience working in Continuous Delivery & Deployment (CI/CD) model.

Other

• Understanding for enterprise grade Content Management Systems (Tridion) is a plus.
• Understanding of Accessibility standards like Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0/2.1).
