The Role

Asset Management Technology (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated and curious Principal full-stack Engineer who is passionate about the application of Emerging Technologies in Financial Services! Come join a collaborative team of Engineers and Data Scientists to prototype, learn, and ultimately deliver solutions using techniques such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics! We partner closely with other members of the Emerging Technology Team to design and develop common, reusable, and easy to maintain capabilities and componentry where new and emerging technologies can be applied to improve the investment process. Specifically, we will be building the foundations that enable and accelerate the work of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers with modeling, data ingestion, building data pipelines, writing APIs, developing UIs, putting solutions into production and scaling and maintaining them.

The role will be available in Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; Merrimack, NH; Westlake, TX; or Denver, CO.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 4+ years of experience building single-page applications (SPA) using modern Angular (9+) framework with TypeScript

• Working knowledge of reactive state management with Redux, NgRx/RxJS, or equivalent

• Professional experience integrating applications with REST based services

• Experience building and maintaining distributable NPM packages is desirable

• A creative problem solver and a curiosity fueled by keeping up with advanced technology and industry trends, especially in the open-source community

• UX design and wireframing experience is a plus

• Mid-tier API experience in a modern framework (Python Flask/FastAPI, Java Spring Boot, or equivalent)

• Exposure to SQL and knowledge of RDBMS concepts

• Experience in at least one unit testing framework and understanding of test-driven development (TDD) concepts and methodologies

• Experience working in AWS using infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation) and concepts such as serverless and event-driven architecture is a plus

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex analytical concepts to a non-technical audience

• Proven experience with CI/CD and DevOps best practices, and/or MLOps

• Additional technical skills that are nice to have: containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), NoSQL and Graph databases, Python, Jenkins, Concourse, Linux OS

• Bachelors with 6+ years of experience or Masters with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
