We are building a new team in Microsoft, Hyderabad and looking for a proven Engineering Leader to lead a team for taking the platform forward in its evolution. It is a unique opportunity to utilize and enhance your current experience on Android while learning and enhancing expertise on Windows and Microsoft technologies and delighting one of the largest customer bases in the world! You will also get an opportunity to collaborate across various teams within Windows group and across product groups within the company and work with some of the best minds in the world! 

Responsibilities

• Write bots and heuristics to automate execution of FULL Catalog to identify which apps appear working  
• GitHub ISV Engagement with developers  
• Find/fix CTS/VTS issues and develop new proxies to support them.  
• Construct Per-App experience translation shims to make key apps great  
• Build tools to enable crowd-sourced compat ratings  
• Build the necessary flighting and test tools and E2E automation and testing tools as necessary  
• Create Security Patch Management system for AOSP and MS patches 

Qualifications

• 12+ Years of professional Android application or platform development 
• Experience writing production Java, Kotlin, and C/C++ code 
• Familiarity with Android development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, ADB, Git, Repo, etc. 
• Ability to quickly ramp up in new areas across the Android, Windows, and Azure stacks 
• Strong communication and drive for results 
• Ability to efficiently work across a geo-distributed team of engineers 
  Preferred qualifications 
• Experience writing C/C++ Win32 Windows Applications with Visual Studio 
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops build and test pipelines 
• Proficient at scripting in PowerShell and Bash
