Colgate Palmolive Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Global Device Research and Develop team to develop novel product solutions for oral care and personal care devices from initial concept through transfer to mass manufacturing. The incumbent will be working with a cross functional team of internal and external subject area experts in Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacture Engineering, Software Engineering, Packaging Engineering.

What you will do

• Lead the development of multiple product initial concepts, based on early research scientific and/or engineering studies to address identified consumer needs and insights.
• Determine technology architecture and bring in external new technologies & practices, execute the device development process by designing, prototyping, validating and optimizing devices.
• Participate in cross functional teams, to generate all required product documentation including Detail Product specifications, Key Product Performance Requirements, Supporting Test Plans and Test Reports. Documentation will be used to support safety and regulatory processes, and transfer products through a stage gate process into manufacturing.
• Present to management, marketing teams and R&D peers on various subjects, including, scientific principles, engineering concept diagrams and computer generated renderings, rapid prototypes and demonstrations, experimental data and test results, etc.
• Responsible for aspects of project management including: project planning, project budget, cost of goods management.
• Generate and document intellectual property through creation of invention records and supporting patent applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• At least 7-10 years of work experience with at least 4 years of experience in the development of consumer and/or medical / diagnostics devices
• Sound fundamental knowledge of digital & analog circuits and signal processing
• Skills in schematic design & PCB layout using EDA, component selection, prototype building (bread boarding and soldering) and debugging
• Experience in utilizing and interfacing with microcontrollers and SOC in consumer electronics or IoT devices or medical diagnostic devices
• Experience with applications of various sensor technologies, such as MEMS, optical, biosensors, etc.
• Abilities to implement Wifi and Bluetooth/BLE communication protocols
• Skills in prototype performances evaluation, analysis of data and results, writing technical documentations
• Experience in using electronic test equipment for development and test of electronics
• Ability to communicate in English, including writing technical documentation
