Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects.
  • Engaging with and developing good working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including Network Rail / local authorities / Tier 1 contractor’s clients and other disciplines.
  • Check and approval of technical work by the design team.
  • Act as Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) – Design.
  • Help to develop the production of drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Produce scope and management of surveys on site.
  • Input to and preparation of bids and proposals.

What we’re looking for:

  • Civil engineering related degree, BEng level minimum, or equivalent. Chartered (ICE or IStructE)
  • Good technical experience in bridge design and/or the design of heavy civil engineering structures such as station boxes and cut and cover tunnels
  • Experience of working in the UK rail industry with good working knowledge of Network Rail Grip process / standards and approval processes
  • Shall have a sound understanding of the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations, specifically the Designers requirements.
  • Experience of planning design work and managing programme and budgets for design tasks
  • Full UK Driving Licence
